Our Story
Wentzel Motor Works was founded in 2018 by Divan Wentzel, a Porsche-qualified technician with over 22 years in the motor industry, including 16 years dedicated exclusively to Porsche. What began as a one-man workshop quickly grew as demand increased.
Within six months, the workshop expanded to meet growing demand. Today, Wentzel Motor Works operates from expanded premises in Stikland, Cape Town, with a specialist team of nine. Collectively, the team brings together 70 years of Porsche experience across servicing, diagnostics, mechanical rebuilds, restoration, and motorsport support.
Engineering Knowledge, Shaped by Motorsport
Porsche has always been at the centre of our work. From early air-cooled models to the latest performance platforms, each vehicle requires a different approach, a different sensitivity, and a deep understanding of how Porsche engineering has evolved over time.
Divan’s background in motorsport has shaped the workshop from the outset. Having raced since the age of eight, and remaining actively involved in competitive racing today, he brings a performance-led mindset to every aspect of the business.
